Gen had been a bit of a shut-in ever since she and Jared broke up, but today was a new day. It had been a week since she had left the house, but it was Monday and her mother was forcing her to get up and go to school. At least she had Landon to help her get through the day. It wasn't like she could let anyone think anything was wrong with her. She had simply gone on a spa retreat for a week, and now she was perfectly fine. That's what she would tell people if they asked.
After putting on her last touch of lipgloss, she got in the car and told her chauffeur, Anderson, to take her to Landon's apartment. She texted him on the way there, It's a new dawn, bitch. You better be ready. I'll be at your place in ten. She hit send, then leaned back in her seat, highly satisfied with herself. She was determined not to let her break up with Jared get the better of her. She was still the most powerful girl in her school, and that was for sure.
Anderson glanced in the rear-view mirror. "You seems like a new person today, Miss Genevieve," Anderson said with his thick British accent.
Gen smirked. "I decided it was time for a change," she said with a smile.

Landon was busy getting ready for a task he always hated. He was in the middle of gelling his hair when he got a text from Gen. He groaned because that meant he'd have to rush to finish getting ready. He was in the middle of putting on his shoes when he got a text saying she was here. He was quick to grab a gronla bar and his backpack and rush out the door.
He got to the car and smiled when he saw Gen. She looked a lot bettter than when he had seen her. "Hey you look happy today," he commented. He was still fixing his hair in the car because if he was the seterotypical gay abiut anything it was his hair.

Gen grinned when she saw Landon, but then shrugged a little. "If he's going to be perfectly fine with the break-up, then I have to too," she said. In reality, Gen wasn't as happy as she portrayed herself to be, but she was a big believer in acting how she wish she felt and hoping it would actually happen. "And besides, I can't just let the girls run around without a leader, can I?" "The Girls" were all of Genevieve's wannabes. Gen had a habit of having friends, and then having the people that she acted like she was friends with. "The Girls" were the latter of the two. But they all secretly wanted to kill her anyways, so it didn't really matter.

Landon rolled his eyes at her. "That would just be horrible," landon said teasingly. He didnt really get all this queen bee stuff. He was pretty laid except for the fact that Gen and him normally got themselves into drama at some point. He didn't see the appeal of being the number one person in school.

Gen just smirked at Landon. Once they arrived at school, Gen stepped out of the car and took Landon's arm. It was the first time she had been seen without Jared in over a year, and she was not walking in there without some kind of arm candy. "These girls all want you way more than Jared anyways," she said to him with a wink. Landon was the subject of unrequited love for every wannabe at Constance, and while Gen obviously had no interest in him romantically, she wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to make everyone jealous of her.
Suddenly, Gen felt her phone buzz in her purse. "Shit," Gen said, knowing it was probably a Gossip Girl blast. As much as Gen loved Gossip Girl, she'd grown to fear that constant buzz of her phone. More often than not the Gossip Girl blasts would be cause for major damage control. "Queen G loses her king," Gen read the headline with a serious lack of enthusiasm and an eye-roll. "Looks like the cats out of the bag on that one." Gen was suddenly nervous about what would happen to her popularity status without Jared. Everyone loved Jared. But then Gen got a horrible but perfect idea. "He cheated on me," she said suddenly. "That's why we broke up, okay?" Landon knew it wasn't true, but she hoped he'd keep her secret.

"Well tell your friends I strictly like dick," Landon said with a wink and a teasing smile. It was all over gossip girl when he came out, it was the first time he was ever even mentioned on gossip girl. Suddenly he felt his phone buzz and oulled it oit. It was of course another gossip girl blast. "Okay," Landon said. He normally just went with whateber Gen said unless he completely disagreed with it. "Isnt there soem other hlt popular guy you can date or pretend to date?" Landon aksed, he was techincally a hot popular guy nu6 obviously he wasnt into girls and everyone was very aware.

Gen rolled her eyes playfully. "They all know that," she said. "But face it, you're probably the sexiest guy in school, and you're a freaking model. They all think they can turn you straight for them. And don't even argue with me on that because you know for a fact that guys always think lesbians will turn for them too. It's the same thing," she said quickly.
Sighing, Gen tried to think over the other popular guys at school. She'd have to get with one of them soon, but for now it was Landon. "Not on such short notice," she said as if it were obvious. "And is it really such an issue? Is your boyfriend going to get jealous?" Gen was obviously teasing him. He didn't have a boyfriend. Or at least if he did, he hadn't told her about it. But Gen knew everything there was to know about Landon, and vice versa, or that's what she believed.

"No but it means I get to hang out with your lovely screechy friends today who like to touch my hair," landon said. Landon had been talking to some guys onkine though. He met this one guy who lived here but the guy wanted to stay a secret so he never mentioned him to Gen. He shrugged at Gen. "I'm going to start calling the, screechies."

Gen laughed. "That's a good band name. You should run with that," she said, nudging him playfully. "And I'll tell them not to mess with your hair, okay?" Gen knew how obsessed Landon was with his hair. It was humorous to her.
Next thing she knew, there was a brunette freshman girl running towards her. "Genevieve is it true?" the girl practically screamed at her.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Gen said, her attitude clearly showing. Gen didn't like being spoken to unless she spoke firs . It was a pet peeve of hers.

Landon couldn't help but laugh a litrle and he had to cover it up. He didn't want to be rude but he always found it funny when Gen got sassy. The girls at this school loved drama and the guys weren't much better. He was i shock at how craxy most lf these girls were and how much they thrived off of drama.

The little brunette girl looked as if someone had just killed a puppy right it front of her. "I'm Kara. Our parents know each other. We just met last week."
Gen rolled her eyes. "And obviously you werent interesting enough for me to bother to remember you. Now shoo." It was mean, but Gen believed in power through fear and authority.
But she had noticed Landon laughing. "What's so funny?" she said, raising an eyebrow at him. But she wasn't being bitchy with him. She was rarely ever bitchy with him.

Landon pursed his lips smd watched the girl walk away. "Nothing it's kust really funny when you get sassy, " Landon Said with another laugh. Since him and Gen pratically grew up together he always found it funny when shed be mean to bpeople. They were never mean to each other so he was only ever used to it when they were with other people. "I haven't been on gossip girl lately, " landon ssid proudly. He hated being on gossip girl.

Gen would never quite understand why Landon thought staying off of Gossip Girl was an achievement. "That's odd," she said. "Maybe we both need to go on a boyfriend hunt." Gen hadn't been single for longer than two weeks in three years, and she wasn't going to start now.
"You know what we should do?" she said excitedly. "We should go clubbing tonight. My uncle just opened a new club down the street from my apartment and its supposed to be wild." There was a spark in Gens eye that she only ever got when she was scheming.

Gen smirked. "You can invite him then," she said. "Only of you want to though. If not, I'll ask one of the girls to go with me." But clubbing wasn't the only thing on Gens mind. "As for the scheming, I have an idea that you should consider." Gen was all about images and distorted realities, and this was going to be great, if Landon would let her do it.
