Never in a million years would Archie have ever thought that he would be going on a date with Landon Hastings. The Landon Hastings. Of course, Archie was of the opinion that every upper-east-sider was a complete and utter waste of space, but Landon had proved him wrong. Of course, he wasn't just seeing him for the label. In fact, he would have preferred if Landon wasn't as famous (or infamous) as he was. He was afraid of someone seeing them out and posting it of Gossip Girl. Not that any of his family ever saw Gossip Girl. The whole thing just made him incredibly nervous.
But he was going, nonetheless. They had decided to meet in Central Park since it was a pretty neutral territory. He found a park bench to sit at and then texted Landon that he was there. They'd never met in person. Not technically anyways. Archie had seen him around town with that red-head he hangs around all the time, but they'd never actually spoken to each other.

Landon really had to look nice. He tried really hard to because he really wanted to impress the guy. He decided just to walk because he didn't want any attention brought to him. He was walking over to central park.
His stomach was flipping. He smiled at his text. He looked over around for Archie and saw him sitting on a bench. He walked over and smiled at Archie. "Hey," He said feeling really nervous.

Seeing Landon, Archie suddenly felt seriously under dressed. He had dressed up a little bit, but only enough to wear a nice button up shirt and skinny jeans. "Hey," Archie said, suddenly feeling a lot more anxious than he had before. What if Landon didn't like him in person? What if he didn't like Landon? There were so many possibilities of this whole thing going really wrong. But Archie tried to push those past him as he stood up and hugged him. Was it okay to hug him? Archie wasn't sure. But it felt like the right thing to do in that situation. "How are you?" he asked.

Landon smiled as Archie hugged him. "I'm good. How are you?" Landon asked. He really wanted to hold Archie's hand but he didn't know if that was too far. He also wanted to go out somewhere with Archie.
"Would you like to go somewhere like maybe a movie or ice cream or?" Landon said trailing off. He smiled his charming smile at Archie.

Archie smiled. "I'm alright," he said. It was no secret to Landon that Archie's life wasn't exactly ideal. They had opened up to each other online more than most people probably would had they met in person. It was always easier for Archie to write out his feelings rather than saying them out loud. But at the moment he was happy to be with Landon.
Archie then nodded. "Ice cream sounds good," he said with a smile. Archie didn't like going to the movies on dates, especially first dates (not that he'd ever actually been on one). He wanted time to talk to Landon and really get to know him.

Landon began to walk to the ice cream shop with Archie. As they began to walk he slowly began to lace his hand with Archie's. "What do you normally do when you're not on the Internet? " Landon asked.
He wasn't normally a life on the Internet guy. Him and Gen were normally hanging out. He was normally too busy but ever since he met Archie he had been on his phone a lot more.

It was insane how little things like holding hands could mean so much to Archie. When Landon reached for his hand, he felt his heart do a little twirl inside his chest. "Um, not much, really," he said. "School. I'm in the creative writing club at my school, if that counts." Archie had never gone anywhere except public school, but he hated it with every part of his soul. Education was going down the drain, but Archie wasn't going to let himself go down with it. "What about you?" he asked, but he knew most of the answers already. Gossip Girl made everything between them a little weirder. Archie felt like he knew everything about Landon, even though there were so many things he'd never told him.

"I wanna read one of your writings," Landon said with a smile. He wanted to know about Archie. He was interested in Archie. He then began to think about what he did. He didn't want to come off as arrogant. So he tried to think of things he did other than hanging out with his friends and modeling there wasn't much besides the occasional time he went on movie sets.
"I-uh-um...model and hang out with my friends," He didn't say what his friends and him did because it was normally expensive stuff. He pursed his lips and continued to walk. He didn't want to have Archie think of him as some upperclass asshole.

Archie blushed a little when he mentioned reading his writing. "None of it's really any good," he said. Archie wasn't very confident in himself, even though his writing was actually pretty good. But it was something that was so personal to him that he was afraid to share it with anyone. He was afraid no one would like it. "You're life sounds so much more interesting than mine," Archie said with a laugh, but he didn't mean it in an envious way.

"I'm sure it's lovely," Landon said. He squeezed Archie's hand. He thought Archie was cute and even though he lacked confidence he was still cute. They got to the ice cream shop and he opened the door for Archie and then walked in. "What kind of ice cream do you want? " Landon asked.

Archie was actually starting to calm down and actually enjoy himself, but he was still worried that someone might see them. "Just vanilla," he said. Archie was a plain and simple kind of person. But then Archie remembered something. "So, there's something you should probably know about me that I've been really nervous to tell you about..." Archie was afraid that it might make him not be interested in him anymore, which was the last thing that he wanted.

Landon ordered a vanilla ice cream and a mint chocolate one for him. He put them in the same bowl though because sharing ice cream was cute. "What's that? " Landon asked looking over at Archie. He felt his guts turning when Archie said that. He didn't know what could be wrong a do Archie was so perfect he didn't want anything to be ruined.

Archie pursed his lips for a moment before finally spitting it out. "I'm not really...out," he said. "I mean, not to my family anyways. Most of my friends know." Archie was terrified to tell his parents about being gay. His family were the type of Christians who didn't go to church except on Easter and Christmas, but they were also the kind of Christians who wouldn't allow their child to go see a Broadway show because there were too many gay people in it. "And I know you're, like, five miles out of the closet, so I get it if you don't want to do this."

Landon didn't know what to think. Everyone he dated were already out. He didn't know what to say at first. He wasn't going to dump Archie because of it. He would never do that. "Oh," Landon said because he felt like he should say something.
"It doesn't matter to me," Landon said with a smile. "It's your choice and I'm not gonna break up with you for what you choose," Landon said.

Archie smiled, basically grinned, when Landon said that it didn't matter. Most boys he met would drop him as soon as he asked them to keep things between them on the down low, and considering how much public attention Landon had, he was honestly surprised. "Thank you," Archie said. "You know, you're not at all how I would have expected you to be before I started talking to you."
